AIM Suite III Benchmark is a software tool for measuring and comparingthe system performance of multi-user, multiprocessor UNIX systems. SuiteIII uses 31 functional tests to evaluate multi-user and multiprocess orsystem performance under user-defined application mixes such asaccounting, compiling, database management, graphics, and wordprocessing. The functional tests can also be used to evaluate systemperformance under user-defined functional mixes consisting of thefollowing elements: disk, floating point, logic, math, pipe, RAM, andTTY.AIM Benchmark Suite III generates graphic reports showing multi-userresponse time and user throughput, measures the effects of commonly-usedsystem resources such as TTY input and Line Printer Use, and contains aresults database of several UNIX systems for comparison.
